Tech company is heading to the Dallas area

Doosan Robotics Americas will establish its US headquarters in Plano.

Another tech company is heading to Texas. Doosan Robotics Inc.South Korean supplier of cobots, that is to say collaborative robots, has created a new business unit which will establish its American headquarters near Dallas, in Plano.

From October, Gaedeke Group7950 Legacy Drive will be the headquarters of Doosan Robotics Americas, according to The Dallas Morning News. Totaling 307,824 square feet, the 14-story building rises in Legacy West, a $3 billion mixed-use development with office, retail, hotel and residences in the Platinum Corridor North submarket .

Completed in 2017, the LEED Gold-certified tower, also known as One Legacy West, offers 25,679 square feet of floor plates, according to data from CommercialEdge. The 14-story Class A building offers a parking ratio of 4 spaces per 1,000 square feet. The list of tenants includes NTT Data, Venture X and Pacific Builders, among others.

One Legacy West offers easy access to Sam Rayburn Tollway, while downtown Dallas is approximately 23 miles south. Less than 10 miles away, Triten Real Estate Partners has begun construction on Assembly Park, a mixed-use project totaling 180,000 square feet.

In April, Platinum Corridor North experienced a significant increase in office vacancy rate from 14.0% to 20.2%. Meanwhile, office vacancy rates in the Metroplex have remained consistent month over month, holding steady at 17.3%, above the national average of 15.7%, according to CommercialEdge.
